Top-selling American singer-songwriter Lana Del Ray is among the star attractions of this year’s Montreux Jazz Festival, along with other veteran performers such as Bob Dylan, Sinead O’Connor and Alanis Morissette.
The names were leaked on Tuesday by Blick.ch, the website of the Swiss-German tabloid, two days before organizers of the 46th annual festival were scheduled to unveil the full roster of musicians.
A temporary technical problem with the festival’s website allowed a glimpse of the program, which will be officially unveiled early this afternoon.
Del Ray, whose album Born to Die hit the top of the charts in seven countries after its release in January, is scheduled to appear in Montreux on July 4.
The festival runs from June 29 to July 14.
Dylan, making a return appearance, is set to perform on July 8, while O’Connor and Morissette are booked for July 2.
Other big names include Tony Bennett, Jethro Tull and Van Morrison, who has played at Montreux on many previous occasions.
The festival previously announced the attendance of British rocker Noel Gallagher (set to perform the same night as Del Ray with his High Flying Birds).
Also previously advertised is a July 14 concert from Herbert Grönemeyer, the best-selling German pop musician and movie actor.
